Job Description

CIMA Hospice is seeking a Director of Nurses!  Our Director provides overall administration of all clinical areas, and ensures the quality of patient care provided in the home.  Monitors appropriateness of staffing and productivity.  Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency.  Monitors and analyzes QAPI issues and directs clinical staff with regard to agency policy and procedures.

Job Requirements


Certification/Licensure               

Must be a registered nurse licensed in Texas, or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact.  Must have a current Texas Drivers License. 




Training 
Must have at least one year of management or supervisory experience in a health related setting.  Must complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education within each 12- month period after the date of designation to the position.  


Special Requirements

Strong leadership and organizational skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Exhibition of good judgment and ability to work independently. Must possess a motor vehicle in good working condition, which is available during work hours, with current proof of insurance and a valid drivers license.  Must agree to and pass a criminal history background check.
