Job Description

Assumes overall responsibility and authority for assuring that all patient services are delivered according to the mission, vision, goals, and philosophy of CIMA Hospice, and that these services are in accordance with current accepted standards of practice. Must be involved in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for CIMA Hospice necessary to ensure the quality and safety of patient and family care delivered. Must promote effective communication between staff, management, the Board of Directors, Interdisciplinary Team, Medical Directors, the community, and any other providers involved in the operations of and/or care provided to CIMA Hospice patients and/or their family members. Responsible for assuring that all local, state and federal regulatory standards are met. Has the ultimate accountability for safe, effective and efficient use of all resources.

Job Requirements


A) Must be a licensed physician, registered nurse, licensed social worker, licensed therapist, or licensed nursing home administrator with at least one year of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting, such as: a home and community support services agency; a hospital; a nursing facility; a hospice; an outpatient rehabilitation center; a psychiatric facility; an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability or related conditions; or a licensed health care delivery setting providing services for individuals with functional disabilities;  or


(B) Must have a high school diploma or a general equivalency degree (GED) with at least two years of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting, such as: a home and community support services agency; a hospital; a nursing facility; a hospice; an outpatient rehabilitation center; a psychiatric facility; an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability or related conditions; or a licensed health care delivery setting providing services for individuals with functional disabilities.
