Job Description

TheData Entry Specialist / Receptionist   plays a vital role in performing severaladministrative office functions for the agency and must be bilingual.  Responsibilities may include data entry, filing, tracking,report generation / tracking and transmissions. May also assist in staffing and serviceprovision.  This individual communicateseffectively with field and management staff to ensure compliance with allestablished procedures.  The Data Entry Specialist providesassistance in process evaluation and improvement.  

KeyAccountabilities :

GeneralOffice Responsibilities:  ComponentProportion 70%

  • Answers telephones, routes calls and provides basic customer service.
  • Delivers, retrieves and processes daily mail.  Sends/delivers faxes.
  • Performs data entry.
  • Sorts, prepares files and copies documents using established procedures.
  • Performs filing in client and Attendant records according to agency procedures.
  • Performs payroll/billing records according to agency procedures.
  • Ensures Attendant timesheets are verified and paid according to regulations.
  • Verifies and screens applicant information as necessary.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all tasks assigned.
  • Responsible for understanding program guidelines.
  • Performs all duties related to Payroll/Timekeeping, as assigned.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

AdministrativeSupport Operations:  ComponentProportion 20%              

  • Understands, adheres to, and performs all duties in accordance with established Jordan Health Services (JHS) policy and procedure.
  • Exemplifies and provides leadership and guidance in promoting high ethical standards within JHS.
  • Attends seminars/workshops as assigned to stay abreast of industry changes.
  • Performs all tasks associated with on-call duties, as necessary.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Marketing/PublicRelations:  ComponentProportion 10%

  • Promotes JHS and its services through positive, exemplary and ethical job performance, by building good relationships, and by actively participating in professional and local organizations and projects.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education, PreviousWork Experience, Skills/Abilities and General Requirements for position



1.     Musthave graduated from high school or received a Graduation Equivalent Degree(G.E.D.).


1.    Must be Bilingual

2.   Minimum of one (1) year’s experience in anadministrative/clerical position, preferably in a health care setting.

3.     Working knowledge of CBA / PHC programpreferred.

  7. Have the ability to operate office equipment such as typewriters, adding machines, fax machines, phone systems, printers and copiers.

  8. Be willing and able to foster the TEAM philosophy and continuous quality improvement applications.

  2. Must be able to pass a criminal history check.

  3. Must be able to pass a random drug test.

  4. Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
